10 DREAM SYMBOLS YOU SHOULD NEVER IGNORE

Dreams and their meaning have always been interesting to people for many centuries. In the end of the 19th century a famous psychotherapist Carl Jung who is best known for archetypes and the collective unconscious, started to conclude that looking into dreams was opening a door into consciousness and the spirit world.

However, there is a science behind what happens during sleep. A research team of scientists at the ATR Computational Neuroscience Laboratory in Kyoto, Japan, has explored brain scans while identifying the visual imagery of dreams. They concluded that people watch their dreams in the same manner that they watch their waking world.

In order to analyze the dreams we must also study how we participate in our daily activities. The question is: are dreams a replay on the visual stimuli of what we perceive in waking hours or messages of guidance from beyond? Another interesting question is: what do these symbols mean? How do we interpret them and analyze them to give us messages?

Here are 10 things you should never ignore about your dreams

Flying
These dreams often specify the need to reach ambition. When you dream that you are flying, it’s all about power and control. If you are flying well, it means that you are ready to make some big decisions in your life. It shows that you are in control of things and can do whatever you want. Beware, though, as this dream can often turn into a falling dream.

Teeth
These dreams are very common. These dreams can be differently interpreted: pulling of teeth symbolizes something that needs to come out, while rotten teeth symbolize the holding of fear and anxiety. Dreaming of falling teeth is usually derived to new situations that cause stress: a new job, fear of loss, lack of power in a relationship, or lies that are being kept hidden.

In case you see teeth in you dream teeth, ask yourself these questions: how do you feel about your teeth? We use our teeth to nourish the body. How are we nourishing our lives?

Death
A dream of death is more common that people admit it. It feels morbid and the dream of death usually means an end to something. Death is the termination of ego parts. There is the death of anxiety and anger. The death of a situation. There is the death of an idea allowing for the birth of another. Dreaming of death or dying can be a psychological aspect of working tremendous changes in emotions.

If you see death in your dreams, ask yourself these questions: where you the one who died? Was it a loved one?

In a case you are dreaming pregnancy, ask yourself these questions: what are you trying to create? What transformation are you encountering in your waking life? Dreams about pregnancy can bring fruitful ideas for a job or relationship.

Houses
These dreams can symbolize the self and the different aspects of personality. It depends on the type of house or different rooms so the interpretation can deepen. An attic means hidden memories, while a basement – intuition and unconscious mind.

If you see houses in your dreams, ask yourself: how are you taking care of your body? How do you perceive yourself out in the world?

Money
Dreaming money allows you to wake up with gratitude. It is actually luck and how we perceive our self-worth. If you win the lottery in a dream, it can mean a change in lifestyle, and dreaming of giving money is often a fear of loss.

If you see money in your dreams, you should ask yourself: did you lose your job? Are you in debt? What would you do if you won the lottery?  Money symbolizes the flow of life.

Adultery
Dreaming of adultery signifies sexual desires and urges that are repressed or are needing to be expressed. Experts says that these types of dreams carry abandonment and fears, self – worth issues and an unconscious acceptance of a problematic relationship.

In case you have this type of dream, ask yourself: are you afraid of losing a loved one? Are you unhappy in your own relationship? How do you feel about your body and desires?

Fire
Fire dreams can have several meanings depending on the context of the dream. Seeing fire in a distance symbolizes desire and transformation, while playing with fire can be a warning of risky activities. If you dream of starting a fire it symbolizes anger that is being repressed.
Ask yourself: do you avoid risky situations? Do you spend your day putting out fires?

Naked
Dreams of being naked connect to our fear of being exposed. If the dream is about someone else being naked it means “the naked truth” of a situation. Additionally, it can represent the loss of respect. Nakedness is about accepting flaws and imperfections

You should ask yourself, if you are naked in a dream: Are you afraid of being seen for who you are? Are you over exposing yourself?

Some episodes of our lives are represented by our dreams, and can be analyzed in millions of ways. The dreamer is the only one who can figure out the true emotional state of the dream.

“Dreams…are invariably seeking to express something that the ego does not know and does not understand.” – Carl Jung
